Veteran's Last Stand: Jim does not want his family to be on the street due to Eviction

Here is the story Jim sent to us

"Hi my name is Jim. I am a 13 year veteran with an honorable discharge who has served during three conflicts. I recently got out of the Army in April 2013 I am on unemployment drawing $752.00 every two weeks. I do not receive any aid. My rent is $1195.00 a month. I have actively looked for work and have been unable to obtain a job paying more than minimum wage.

I have gotten behind on paying my rent due to paying for insurance that I desperately have to have because I have a wife with a medical condition. My unemployment barely pays my electric, water, vehicle payment, and insurance. I received a notice last week (Nov 8, 2013) stating that if my rent wasn't paid by November 15, 2013 the eviction process would be started. I have two daughters and I don't want to have to tell them that we are being put out in the street. I need help. I hate asking for help but I have no choice.

I have picked up Aluminum cans, tried getting odd jobs but still don't have enough to cover what I need. Any help would be much appreciated.

"Hello, I am in a desperate situation and not sure what else to do. I am recently divorced after 17 years in a relationship. I have 2 nieces and a nephew, who I have been caring for the past year. I am bankrupt and currently work a job that I took a deep pay cut for, because I so desperately need it. I have never been one to ask for help or take something that I didn't earn, I believe in hard work for what you want. But lately, with the so many life changing events that have taken place in my life, I feel lost. My ex-husband left me financially ruined, he took most of our furniture in the house out of spite and has left me and the kids without much to use. I can't get credit anywhere, I can't get a loan from the bank. I don't know what else to do. I am currently behind in my rent ($2,350) and will be facing eviction soon, my car note is 2 months behind ($824),I can't afford to get furniture for our home, I can barely afford groceries for our family of 4. I have not been able to catch up with things because paying my bankruptcy and legal feels, divorce fees took a toll on me financially and I have continuously been getting further behind in bills. I know you get thousands of requests per day and I don't want to give you a sob story, but I am at my wits end in keeping things together in my life. I have been applying for second jobs, but no one has called me. I am so behind on so many things, but the most important for me are keeping a roof over our head and being able to get back and forth to work and take the kids to school. I can't sleep because of my worries and maybe just telling someone my thoughts will help ease the burden off my mind. I humbly ask that you consider my request. I know that no one else is responsible for my life and I truly appreciate anything you could do for me. It would greatly help me in getting back on track and on top of things financially. Help Needed for the Burke Family

I am at my wit's end. I was laid off two years ago and have not been able to find a job for two years, from which at he same time i also was dealing with ending a failing and physically/mentally abusive marriage needless to say he does not even acknowledge the fact that he has children who are suffering financially, so with no help from my ex husband, i have no friends and family who is willing to financially help or support me in this terrible time in my life and i am a single mother with eight children who range in ages 16yrs- 3yrs I humbly beg whom ever can help me keep my utilites on; which i have recieved notices for interruption and discontinuance as soon as next week; Please help to feed and clothe my family, I have birthday's back to back, the holiday's approaching and i have nothing to give them, I feel alone and like such a failure, i can't seem to stop crying and even considering immoral options in order to make ends meet for my kid's, they didn't ask to be in such an unfair situation.
