Hi everyone, my name is Courtney and I am 30 years old. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with a baby girl and I am very excited about it but also very stressed at the same time. I also have a 10 year old boy who is my world and who call my side kick because he gets a huge kick out of being called my side kick. =) My son has Autism but he doesn't let it stop him from being his amazing unique self and his happy love life attitude is one of the biggest reasons why no matter what I keep moving forward and don't let myself give up. So the reason I am on this site today is because I need any extra help I can get right now and I am trying to get myself back up from rock bottom. In August my world turned upside down when my husband was arrested for attempted strangulation and domestic battery with traumatic injury against me. I was 14 weeks pregnant at the time and I finally had enough and I managed to break that cycle and call the cops who then arrested my husband. He is still in jail and has managed to get more charges added on which include 3 witness intimidation charges and 7 no contact order violations. As grateful as I am to be here today and safer then what I was it has all played a big toll on my financial situation. My husband would not allow me to work, have friends, or do anything really without consequences. I am finally stepping out of months of major isolation and getting back in contact with my friends, family, and the world in general. I never thought I would be in that or this position but it happened and instead of dwelling I want to find myself and be a better person from it all. I have used up most all of my resources and that includes help from local churches and so on which any help I was able to receive I again am grateful for. I just need enough to get back on my feet and if I could at least get a few of my bills taken care of that is more then enough for me. I know where there is a will there is a way and I don't want to come off as ungrateful or take more then what my children and I need. As of now I am well over $800 in the hole just between my power bill and rent but I cant imagine asking for that much so I would be beyond happy and grateful for even any help at all small or big I will appreciate anything so much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and I hope everyone out there going through a hard time stays strong and finds a way through anything that may be trying to knock them down.
